This evening I went to opening night of Not To Scale at the Carnegie in Covington, Kentucky. Documentary style footage of the original performances was on view along with striking posters printed by Anissa Lewis. While I didn't play a significant role, it's been fun to see this project grow from a humble church basement on the East Side of Covington.
Our friend Mary Claire Rietz worked with residents of the East Side neighborhood in Covington, Kentucky to create an artistic performance atop the Licking River levee wall. It was a passionate call for awareness to an often forgotten area of the city. Meg and I played the critical role of warming the spectators as bonfire builders. The performance was documented and shared a few weeks later just a couple of blocks away at The Carnegie.
