A New Website For The Littlefield

The folks at Lads Entertainment group asked Trischler Design Co. to design a new website for their flagship restaurant, The Littlefield. We first worked with Lads on the visual identities for Branch and Night Drop, their most recent restaurants. Unlike that project, The Littlefield website project did not involve an identity update. The purpose was to build a website that the staff can easily change and also to make it accessible to a wide range of guests (generation Z to silents). Their previous website was both challenging to update and confusing to navigate.

To best serve the full range of customers, a wireframe prototype was tested by several people across different generations. Tasks were given like, “Identify the cost of beers during happy hour.” Or, “Does The Littlefield take reservations?” Scenarios were influenced by what the staff said are the most frequently asked questions customers by customers. We learned a lot from the feedback from the testers and made several adjustments to the site based on what was shared.

We’re undoubtedly biased, but The Littlefield is one of our favorite restaurants in Cincinnati. Even if they were not a client, we’d recommend The Littlefield for your next date night, happy hour, or last-minute evening out on the town. Swing by their new site, check out their fresh menus and upcoming events. Perhaps we’ll cross paths there one evening and oblige in some bourbon and/or one of their many great food offerings.
